Rachel at North East Slings in County Durham, Tyne and Wear

In July 2011, I decided to use my love of babywearing and desire to see more parents carry their babies, to establish the North East Sling Library. We serve the whole of the North East – County Durham, Newcastle, South Tyneside, North Tyneside, Teesside, Sunderland and beyond through postal hire. The North East Sling Library is very proud to be the first sling library in the North East and the first to have a trained consultant. 

I am Rachel, the founder of the North East Sling Library and mum of two. As well as running the sling library, I am a qualified secondary school teacher. I works full time as a Maths teacher, specialising in SEN and examination access arrangements. I offer consultations and sling library appointments from my designated consultation room in Durham, but can travel across the North East. For over 12 years, I have wanted to help the parents of the North East to carry their babies big and small.
