Today I was reminded of this video available on my Today I was reminded of this video available on my public YouTube channel, called “Newborn Ruck with loose bundle”, filmed with my daughter 10 years ago! 🩷💜🩵 It came about after many discussions about when and how to back carry, whether it is OK with a newborn or not, whether it is “recommended” or not. We explored the cultural differences across the UK, Germany, Italy, Belgium and France, as well as how to navigate the sea of information available on the internet. As an educator, I feel passionate about bringing information and skills to parents so they can make decisions that work for their families and their unique set of circumstances. Parents need tools to support their journeys, safely, always. I’m looking forward to day 3, especially for the discussions around risk assessment…. and meh dais…. and stretchy wraps… and buckle carriers….. and teaching principles…. Gah! I can’t choose!
As I started today’s online consultancy course, As I started today’s online consultancy course, I was reminded of this course 5 and a half years ago, in Italy 🥰 When students recommend you after such a long time, you can feel good that your teachings have stayed in their heart 🩷💜🩵 This weekend feels special. Every student I meet come with their own stories and unique lives and it’s always a pleasure. This time has the added dimension of one of a students being a very established colleague 😍 with a long family history in carrying. I’m looking forwards to day 2!
I got baby snuggles 🩷💜🩵 August is a bus I got baby snuggles 🩷💜🩵 August is a busy month for me, I have just returned from two weeks of camping in the woods with my people, straight onto teaching day 1 and 2 of the consultancy course in Plymouth. Tomorrow I’m doing my bi-monthly trip North for my children to see their dad and on Friday there is another consultancy course starting!!! I’m super excited to return to doing what I love so much. There is still time to join us 😘

Sometimes making logistics work can be ever so tricky: childcare, school runs, family time, work, hobbies… We get it! We want to make things work for you, with your real life and your real needs.
