Robin’s hip carry in a stretchy wrap
A great hip carry with a stretchy wrap. This carry has many names! Robin’s or Robyn’s, adjustable, long hip carry, hot-dog hip carry, looped…. It is very easy to breastfeed in this carry if you wear the right top. Here a 21 months old toddler.
Double Hammock Shoulder to Shoulder (DHS2S)
Double Rebozo Shoulder-to-Shoulder back carry. I emphasize how to get the chest belt high and tight. The wrap needs to be tightened before passing the 2nd tail into the chest belt. The two tails coming around to make cross passes can be left kind of loose, otherwise it might be uncomfortably tight. This is a great carry for summer and for heavier children. I’m using a 4.5m wrap.
Torso Carry with a long wrap
This video shows how to do a torso carry with a long wrap using several variations, and then shows how to switch from a torso carry to a double hammock carry without disturbing baby. I’m using a Didymos Caribe (50% linen) wrap in a size 6, and I’m wrapping a 27 lb toddler.
